Founded in 2010 by Bruno BARIOHAY, Ph.D. and Julien ROUX, Ph.D., Biomeostasis has been implicated in more than three hundred and fifty in vivo preclinical projects to date.
We endeavor to put our corporate values, i.e., Quality, Ethics, and Flexibility, at the heart of each project. While these values are now well recognized worldwide, we are proud to display a 100% customer satisfaction rate. ROUX, Ph.D.
As CSO, Roux, Ph.D. leads the scientific development of the company and oversees the implementation of innovative technological platforms.
Julien holds a Ph.D. in Neurosciences. His work focuses on the development of preclinical rodent models and the evaluation of new therapies, with a particular emphasis on metabolic diseases. His expertise has enabled Biomeostasis to earn the trust of major companies in the pharmaceutical sector. Before co-founding Biomeostasis, Julien completed his doctoral thesis in an academic laboratory, at Aix-Marseille Université, where he developed a strong foundation in biomedical research. This experience allowed him to combine scientific rigor with commercial vision in building his company.
Roux, Ph.D. prioritizes swift adaptability to meet the evolving demands of research. His approach fosters close, tailored communication with clients, key to adapting services to client demands.
BARIOHAY, Ph.D.
As CEO, Bariohay, Ph.D. oversees the administrative, financial, and regulatory aspects of the company. He is particularly engaged in ethical issues related to animal experimentation, serving as an expert on Marseille Ethics Committee No. 14 since 2012.
Bruno holds a Ph.D. in Neurosciences and worked for six years on the implication of central Brain-derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) in the food intake and body weight control and swallowing at the CNRS of Aix-Marseille Université. Before co-founding Biomeostasis, he underwent intensive entrepreneurial training at IRCE in Aix-en-Provence, equipping him with the skills needed to turn his idea into a viable business. He has received multiple awards for his entrepreneurial spirit, including the Norbert Ségar Prize for Innovation.
His management approach emphasizes scientific quality and ethics, aiming for sustainable growth and a human-scale project.

ROUQUET, Ph.D.
Thaïs is the very first employee of Biomeostasis and brings a wealth of experience and versatility to her role. She expertly balances in vivo project management with technical tasks, consistently delivering high-quality results. With a strong preclinical expertise in the field of obesity and diabetes, Thaïs is a valuable asset in driving scientific innovation. She is passionate about sciences, teamwork and knowledge sharing, always striving to help clients advance their projects successfully.
AWADA, Ph.D.
Manar brings strong expertise in biomarker analysis in disease rodent models, offering clients a unique perspective on deciphering compound efficacy and mechanisms of action. Deeply involved in project development, she ensures alignment with client expectations from the outset. Her collaborative approach and dedication to excellence make her a valuable partner in achieving innovative and effective solutions for clients.
MARCOTORCHINO, Ph.D.
Julie is a Ph.D. expert in nutrition with a focus on metabolic diseases and has been a key member of Biomeostasis since 2013. With over a decade of experience, she excels in technical experimentation and continually adapts to new methodologies. Julie's expertise, combined with her passion for rigorous research, makes her a valuable partner for clients seeking excellence in their projects.
